Imagine walking into a cafe very hungry. You wait in a long queue and quite a while later its your turn, except they have run out of food and you have to wait for some more to be prepared just enough for one person. Meanwhile some one walks in says they are a little hungry. The guy behind the counter then decides to serve them instead, and now there is no food left at all.

A situation most people would find very annoyning. But its been exactly like this with the Kingskerswell bypass, we have been at the front of the queue for many decades since 1952. Yet the government seems to allow people to jump the queue just like in Weymouth.

If Weymouth waited their turn we would possibly be seeing the Kingskerswell bypass under construction now. However when its our turn there will be no money left and we will get nothing and probably have to wait several decades more.

What needs to be done is a pe***ion to your MPs to pass legislation saying that major schemes are placed in a queue and those that have waited longest get the go-ahead before others. We are fed up of Imminghams and Weymouths waiting a few years and getting their roads while we get nothing.
Also after the next forescast let down we should put ourselves into the official opposition groups for other road building schemes around Britain. If we cant have our road why should any other place have theirs? Because we have waited the longest and boy have we protested the hardest and that has got us absoultely no where!
