Sir,
With interest the saga of the proposed bypass continues. I used to travel regularly into work at Royal Aller Vale quarry (Colesville) in the early 70s, sometimes via the ring road or nipping through North Willborough. In those days we saw the area grow with the quarry I worked in supplying alot of the aggregate etc for the Kingsteignton bypass in which there was a definite need.
It beggers believe of what can be achieved with the proposed improvements to the Kingskerwell area. I grew up in the area and believe me what ever is achieved in Kingskerswell will impact negatively. Whatever you do there will be bottlenecks. Why not wait a while with the economic down etc who knows ,will we need so much dependence on personal transport?
On another note I now work within the British Forces Cyprus and Richard Butterworths comments are real. I have seen a downturn in support for organisations like the scouts and any interference is just another nail in the coffin. Believe me this is not progress.
Regards
Michael Moore
