A huge amount of mis-information has been appearing from the anti bypass groups in recent weeks. The facts are as follows -
Fact - This road will have to be built the only real question is when
Fact - Planning permission for a Kingskerswell Bypass has finally been approved
Fact - The £80 million figure quoted is not factual. Tenders have not yet been sought
Fact - January 2006 will be the date that the Devon Authorities apply for ministerial approval
Fact - Once the ’Major Business Case’ is approved compulsory orders will be published
Fact - By 2009 the tendering process will get into full swing and whatever the final costs these will then be spread over a number of financial years
